Media Production

The Media Production unit offers cell culture media and buffers, and next-day delivery to UCSF labs. Fetal bovine serum is available by subscription along with formulations for commonly used media. The core can also prepare custom media to your specifications.

Tissue Culture

The Cell and Genome Engineering Core offers tissue culture services as well as cell banking, quality control, and STR validation to ensure the authenticity of cell lines. The core can perform tissue biopsies and clone cell lines from mixed populations, culture cells in a range of quantities, and manage highly difficult primary cell lines.
